Jan te Wierik - Framed and ready-to-hang deep blue painting with abstract figures

Jan te Wierik (1954-2002)
Te Wierik was a versatile artist, illustrator, musician, poet, and writer who enjoyed increasing interest in his work during his all too short life. And even after his death, his work remains highly sought after. Works by Te Wierik have been exhibited in the Netherlands as well as abroad. Te Wierik was known for his passionate work frequency and emotional intensity, and this is clearly reflected in the work on offer.

Experience with this work.
Look at the use of color....... Te Wierik 'draws' you into his painting. This piece is very recognizably Te Wierik, but this time the painter surprises us with a special and intense use of the color blue. What is special about this work is that it could have been painted yesterday. The intense blue colors, combined with fantastical figures, bear witness to this. When you look at this painting, a different aspect stands out almost every time. It is not without reason that Te Wierik was a beloved painter. Signature by the painter himself (bottom left). Te Wierik's work is characterized by enormous dynamism, layering, and a unique yet recognizable visual language. Fits equally well in a modern or classic interior.
