"Atmosphère Miró"
Spain, 1959. First edition. Hardcover. 21x21 cm.
Excellent copy in a very beautiful dust jacket with only slight discoloration.
Spanish/English/French text.
Little foxing.
Miro's art cannot be fully understood without taking into account the fact that this art is deeply rooted in his native country, constantly fertilized and nourished by the special atmosphere that prevails in the places where he spent his youth. The secret of Miro and the signs and forms he creates lie precisely, as James Johnson Sweeney states in the preface to this book, in the soil of his native Catalonia.
