This beautiful oil painting on canvas is by the Dutch artist Joop Uittenboogaard, and the signature is located in the bottom right corner. Uittenboogaard (1916–2010) was primarily known for his landscapes. He was self-taught: he learned to paint on his own. From around 1940, he lived and worked in the area around Mook and Plasmolen. He painted mainly landscapes and flowers, in both oil and watercolor. He is also known as 'the last of the Plasmolen painters'.
