The image is a pochoir print on Arches paper from the book La Garconne by Victor Margueritte, 1925. Total edition: 750 copies. In a pochoir print, various stencils are used. The color separation is cut manually from the stencil for each color. The colors are applied one by one with a brush. Many 20th-century artists (Van Dongen, Picasso, Matisse) used this technique to reproduce their favorite works. It was believed that the pochoir approximated the original best.
