A beautiful and atmospheric maritime painting, fine oil on canvas, depicting a historic Dutch seascape. The artwork shows a fleet of traditional wooden botters sailing over the waves of the former Zuiderzee with billowing, characteristic brown sails. In the foreground, the Spakenburg botter BU31 is prominently visible, sailing on a vividly painted, undulating sea under a beautifully cloudy Dutch sky. In the background, several other fishing vessels, the EB17 and the HK15, are subtly visible.
