In 1946, he studied at the Higher Art School in Katowice and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He became friends with J. Kossak and painted in his studio in Kossakówka. In 1974, he settled in Vienna and became chairman of the Polish study group "Strzecha". He was strongly influenced by S. Kaczor-Batowski and Z. Rozwadowski. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Vienna, he painted a large memorial painting.
