Framed lithograph by Delpech, titled “Les Chantres” (no. 73), after a work by Louis-Léopold Boilly, depicting a group of singers in Boilly’s characteristic satirical style.
Without guaranteeing authenticity, all characteristics appear to point towards an original print, hand-colored and framed in an elegant, classic French gilded frame with a decorative double passe-partout.
Very good condition.
The print shows slight 'wrinkles' due to moisture in the lower left corner (but no stains).
The frame shows some wear and stains consistent with its age (see photos).
The glass is intact.
