Atmospheric and lively painting by the renowned Belgian artist Marcel Hess (1878–1948). The work depicts a beautiful pine forest in which the sun breaks through the trees. Marcel Hess enjoys international fame for his refined interiors, still lifes, and landscapes. This particular work is an excellent example of his later, looser style.
