According to information from the Netherlands Institute for Art, Culture and Science (RKD), the statue was made in the 1970s (see RKD information card) and was the model for a 'larger garden statue'.
That larger specimen adorned her grave until 2008. After its removal, the statue was given a central place in the Oosterbegraafplaats cemetery in Voorburg (see additional photo).
