A beautiful color etching with bright, fresh colors by Marie-Jeanne Bouduin dating from 1998.
This color etching is entitled 'Soleil levant' ('Sunrise'), but may also be known as 'Au retour'.
Only 5 copies of this color etching were printed.
Marie-Jeanne Bouduin herself says: "In my paintings and graphic work, I try to create a world that seems abstract, but is colored by memories and disturbed by the harsh reality of everyday life. From support to medium—a fascinating borderland—there and back—zinc—paper—color—support—medium—across the borders. Which border? Where is the border?"
