Martine Jacobs, born in Amsterdam in 1956, is a well-known pastel artist who specializes in creating colorful pastel drawings. Her work is characterized by vibrant colors and a soft, dreamy quality.
This is a print colored with pastel pencils.
The work was designed and colored by Martine Jacobs.
By coloring the prints herself, Martine can add her own style, feeling, and emotion to the work. This makes every print unique and authentic.
Technique: Handmade art print, hand-colored with pastel pencil. Style: A geometric interpretation of classic Japanese iconography, constructed entirely from detailed origami forms. A serene yet powerful composition in which a dynamic ocean wave, traditional boats, and the iconic Mount Fuji come together. The clean lines of the folded forms are beautifully softened by the subtle, warm textures and the soft color gradient of the pastel pencil. A harmonious interplay between structure and color.
