Offered is a stunning, expressive, and colorful graphic work by the renowned Amsterdam artist Milou Hermus. This rare piece comes from the famous medical series that Hermus created in close collaboration for the pharmaceutical company Janssen-Cilag BV.
At the time, she received the exclusive commission to translate the abstract and emotional effects of medicines and the psyche into images. This manifests itself in a fascinating contrast between organic color fields and clean, clinical details. Because it is a polygraph produced by master printmaker Bernard Ruigrok, the layers of ink and paint lie on the heavy paper with a palpable relief.
Characteristics of authenticity:
-Fully hand-signed by Milou Hermus in the margin in pencil.
-Handwritten unique edition number 12/100.
-Features her distinctive manual red stamp/master's mark below the print.
Important note: sold including frame. The frame is black and is slightly damaged in a few spots. The artwork itself is not.
