Offered is a beautiful, expressive, and handmade ceramic sculpture by the renowned Dutch artist Nel Knoop, titled "Monica". Her work is nationally known for its cheerful, colorful female busts with a humorous wink and characteristic hats. This unique piece (one-of-a-kind) depicts an elegantly sculpted woman with an expressive facial expression, dressed in an ochre-yellow gown with contrasting red details. The absolute eye-catcher is the deep red hat, richly decorated with hand-formed lemons/oranges and green leaves. The sculpture is fully glazed, allowing the bright, warm colors to come into their own beautifully. With a height of 38 cm and a width of 28 cm, this is a highly sought-after and manageable size, ideal as a sculptural object on a dresser, mantelpiece, or side table. A beautiful and highly recognizable piece of Dutch ceramic art.
