A very beautiful original color lithograph by the well-known Swiss artist Otto Bachmann (1915-1996) from 1971 -
The lithograph depicts a poetic and melancholic motif from the world of theatre and traveling performers, absolutely typical of the artist;
A small family, with a resting woman leaning against a man in a harlequin costume with a pointed hat, a small child in front with a dog, and in the background a man with a horse over a wooden barrier -
The work is crafted in a fine, sketch-like style using delicate colors: dark brown, soft anthracite tones, with cream and yellow accents that lend the scene a loving atmosphere.
The lithograph is hand-signed by the artist in the lower right corner and numbered 128/150 in the lower left corner.
The lithograph measures 50 x 37 cm, is surrounded by a grey passe-partout, behind glass, and framed with a black wooden frame with a gold-colored inner strip.
The color lithograph is in very good condition (see pictures), and the picture, including the frame, has a total size of 72 x 57 cm.
Apparent shading or color changes are merely reflections caused by the light incident during photography.
