Description:
This refined cabinet piece depicts an intimate and realistic stable interior, populated by a beautifully rendered rooster, hens, and a small nest of chicks scratching around a hayrick.
The composition is constructed with a keen eye for detail, texture, and the natural anatomy of the poultry.
A warm and atmospheric palette has been used, dominated by earth tones, which are brightened by the characteristic white, grey, and red areas of the birds.
The work has been applied to a wooden panel with oil paint using a thick and precise touch.
Framing:
Classic, richly ornamented gold-colored gallery frame with linen inlay/passe-partout.
