Beautiful original painting by the Dutch artist Peter Motz (1934–2003).
Atmospheric rural landscape with water, trees, and a characteristic farmhouse with a barn. The painting is executed in warm, natural tones and has the recognizable romantic-naturalistic appearance that is characteristic of Motz's work.
Peter Motz was a self-taught painter from Rotterdam who is best known for landscapes, rural scenes, farmhouses, and water features. His work is often associated with the Hague and Laren Schools, but he developed his own style.
Period: presumably second half of the 20th century. Technique: presumably oil on canvas.
Painting dimensions: approx. 70.2 cm wide x 49.8 cm high. Total dimensions including frame: approx. 83.5 cm wide x 63.7 cm high.
The painting comes in a particularly beautiful, richly decorated gold-colored frame. The frame has a few small, non-disruptive blemishes consistent with its age, but is generally in beautiful decorative condition. An atmospheric painting that looks stunning in both classic and country interiors.
