View of the Mont Albans Tower seen along the Oude Schans in Amsterdam. This title is also in French on the engraving. The current name of the Mont Albans Tower is Montelbaan Tower. The tower is nicknamed "Malle Jaap" because the tower's bells once started ringing spontaneously at irregular intervals. The artist of this print was Simon Fokke (1712–1784). This copper engraving was published in 1783 by Pieter Fouquet Junior (1729–1800).
