Exceptional handmade ceramic vase by the Dutch ceramist Pieter Groeneveldt. Tall cylindrical shape with a characteristic rough, horizontally textured exterior in earthy brown and sand tones. The interior forms a beautiful contrast and is fully finished with an intense turquoise crackle glaze. The base is clearly marked with the original Groeneveldt / PG / Made in Holland factory mark featuring the three crescent moons and the number 408. A characteristic example of Dutch post-war studio earthenware. In good vintage condition with signs of use and age consistent with its age. See the photos for the condition.
