Hield haar Eerste Tentoonstelling in Antwerpen in 1935,.
Op haar volgende Tentoonstelling in 1936 te Oostende ontmoette ze Baron James Ensor.
Die was getroffen door haar werken en wenste nader kennismaking;.
Ze schilderde zijn Portret dat nog altijd in het Stadhuis te Oostende ten toon hangt.
Ensor nam haar toen onder zijn bescherming en gaf haar raad en hulp.
