The oeuvre of Sef Peeters (Venlo 1947 – Breda 2019) initially appears playful and accessible; behind that first impression are philosophical questions about art and being an artist.
Sef Peeters studied visual arts at various academies in Tilburg, Amsterdam, Krefeld (DE) and Maastricht (1965-1973) and then settled in Breda. As early as 1976, the importance of his work was recognized by the initiators of the now legendary art initiative De Appel in Amsterdam. This was followed by exhibitions at home and abroad. His work is represented in the collections of the Centraal Museum (Utrecht), Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen (Rotterdam), Stedelijk Museum Breda, Noord Brabants Museum ('s-Hertogenbosch) and Zentrum für Künstlerpublikationen Bremen (DE).
There is reflection in the glass in the photos.
In excellent condition, ready to hang on the wall.
Will be carefully packaged and shipped.
