Theo Daamen is a painter and graphic artist. He was trained at the Rijksnormaalschool in Amsterdam. Visible reality is not enough for Theo Daamen to express himself; motifs repeatedly appear in his work that clearly point to a distortion of our everyday world, and often, precisely through this distortion, he manages to imbue a situation with strong poetic content.
