Various Artists - 2 books The Garden of Eve by Jacques Tange.

These two books, *The Garden of Eve*, originated from an investigation into the quality and motivations behind Jacques Tange's painting. The pictorial quality stems from the artist's relationship with oil paint, for which the realization of beauty is a prerequisite for him. He is a master of aesthetics. That ability determines the interpretation of reality in his paintings. Obsession, paraphrase, and fate play a role in this. Tange is obsessed with the eroticizing effect of the woman as a dream image on the man as a voyeur. In his expression, the woman's buttocks are a phenomenon in a brutal yet loving manner. The paraphrase takes shape in the depiction of nature, which, through the splendor of colors and the rhythm of the landscapes, possesses a fairytale character. In that fairytale, animals come to life that have escaped from mechanics: fairground horses, wind-up birds. They are the messengers of the fate that threatens civilization. That Fate also manifests itself in paintings, where women appear in a soulless urban panorama. There, the woman is an intriguing sculpture in an aura without a future. The social commentary is an annotation that places the fairy tale in a cruel reality. Fortunately, inescapable beauty is a balm for that wound. That is the world of Jacques Tange. High quality and a curious and dissident interpretation of reality. He gives the tradition in painting a new face. · Author: Jan Donia, Jacques Tange · ISBN: 9789077075999 · Binding: Hardback · Number of Pages: 128 · Edition: 1 · Publication Date: October 2010
