Een zeer fraai dorpsgezicht van de kunstenaar Willem G.F. Jansen (1871-1949). Met een mooie goudkleurige lijst. Gesigneerd links onder. Afmetingen met lijst: 57 cm. x 49 cm. Paneelmaat: 37 cm. x 29 cm. Conditie: Heel goed. Het kunstwerk wordt goed gepakt en GRATIS (binnen Nederland) verzonden. Afhalen is ook mogelijk.

Willem George Frederik JANSEN. Voordat hij zich in 1908 als vrij schilder in Blaricum vestigde werkte W.G.F. Jansen (1871 - 1949) als decoratieschilder bij de porseleinfabriek Rozenburg in Den Haag en als plateelontwerper in Gouda. Zijn werk kan getypeerd worden als nabloei van de Haagse School. Het was vooral Jacob Maris die hij bewonderde, hetgeen tot uiting komt in zijn vlotte penseelvoering en liefde voor het puur Hollandse landschap. Hij schilderde zee- en strandgezichten, intieme boerenerven, riviergezichten onder hoge luchten, weidelandschappen en stille heidelandschappen met schapen. Hij werd alom geprezen om zijn sterk ontwikkeld gevoel voor kleurnuances, vooral in gekleurde witten, groenen en grijzen. Musea: Singermuseum Laren en Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen.
