Willem Heesen (1940–2025) was a Dutch glass artist known for his colorful, poetic glass objects with organic shapes. In 1979, he founded the glass studio De Oude Horn in Acquoy, where he created autonomous works that balance between sculpture and utility. His work is characterized by bright colors, subtle color transitions, and a high level of technical mastery of glassblowing. Heesen is considered a major innovator in contemporary Dutch glass art.

Passepartouts/frames: Damage to frames will not be documented. If a work is framed behind glass and the glass is broken, this will be noted. Passepartouts are not guaranteed in any way and are not always included.
Edition: The edition number in the photo may differ from the edition number mentioned above. If we have multiple copies in similar condition, we don't take a new photo for each issue.
Viewing: Your purchase is covered by Kunstveiling's purchase guarantee. If you would like to view a work before placing a bid, you can do so by appointment at the Business Art Service office in Utrecht. Please contact us to arrange this.
Shipping/Delivery: Items can be shipped by mail, as indicated in the specifications. You can use a courier for delivery.
