Willem Visser studied at the Rotterdam Academy from 1974 to 1979. He regularly exhibited landscapes and cityscapes in the Netherlands and Belgium. He is particularly interested in landscapes and forest scenes. His work is held in private and public collections at home and abroad.
This small landscape depicts an overgrown path lined with poplars. The inspiration for this came during a walk in the spring. Nature is coming back to life, and everything is in bloom everywhere. What particularly fascinates Visser is the variety of shades of green, the multitude of different forms and structures, and the interplay of light and dark between the trees. Willem Visser lives and works in Rotterdam.
