Augarten is a porcelain manufacturer that builds upon the tradition of the Viennese porcelain manufactory founded in 1718. The range includes dinnerware, vases, animal figures, and figures related to music and theater. The porcelain is hand-thrown or cast in molds, fired, glazed, and hand-painted. Kaolin, feldspar, and quartz form the raw materials. The cobalt blue shield mark is applied beneath the glaze; some decorations feature polished gold. The design from the 1920s aligns with the Wiener Werkstätte and Art Deco. Josef Hoffmann and Vally Wieselthier, among others, designed dinnerware shapes and figures for the manufactory.
