Serge CREUZ (Sint-Jans-Molenbeek 1924 – Linkebeek 1996)
Serge Creuz was a painter, draftsman, graphic artist, illustrator, and scenographer. He studied at La Cambre in Brussels, where he specialized in graphic art and book illustration under Joris Minne. In 1962, he took over the management of that studio; from 1965 to 1989, he led the scenography studio there. He designed theatre sets and costumes and worked for Belgian television. In addition, he illustrated poetry collections and stories and, starting in 1952, created thousands of drawings for the weekly magazine Pourquoi pas?. His work includes oil paintings, watercolors, and prints. It is represented in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
