Vincent POTIER (Valencia 1955 – ?? 2011)
Vincent Potier studied art in Mâcon and art in Paris. He was a ceramist and established his own studio in 1982. From Sauve in the south of France, he primarily produced vases, flasks, and boxes made of stoneware and porcelain. His work is characterized by stylized forms, glazes, and calligraphic decorations. Japanese ceramics and Japanese and Islamic calligraphy served as sources of inspiration for his work. He combined freely painted brushstrokes with carefully constructed compositions on the ceramic surface.
