Eric CLAUS (Haarlem 1936)
Eric Claus studied at the Graphic School, the State Normal School for Drawing Teachers and the State Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam. From 1979 to 1990 he was a professor at the State Academy. His oeuvre is widely spread in public spaces. He also designed various medals and coins, including the 10 guilder coin with Jan Steen (1997).
In 2017, Claus was appointed Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion.
