Lex Metz (Den Helder, January 14, 1913 - Amsterdam, June 26, 1986) was a Dutch photographer, draftsman, graphic designer and illustrator. He was educated at the Royal Academy of Art (The Hague) and was a student of, among others Gerard Kiljan, Paul Schuitema and Paul Citroen.Metz was a teacher at the Nieuwe Kunstschool in Amsterdam and at the Rietveld Academy.In Amsterdam he was involved in illustrating books and working as a binding designer for the design agency Co-op 2. In 1950 he made drawings for De Groene Amsterdammer.
