- As early as the 1970s, Noordwijk artist Ab Steenvoorden was part of an artist group in Leiden, De Bange Duivel (The Scared Devil), which was based in a house with its own printing house on Bakker Koffstraat. Ab Steenvoorden created a large number of bookplates, all using the etching technique. They are instantly recognizable for their opulent, imaginative style.
