Painting from 2022. Acrylic and oil paint on canvas.
Framed in a black wooden box frame.
Ready to hang. With purchase guarantee.
The Little Stories series covers all the days of a year (365 items). Together, they form a painted diary.
Ad van Riel (1959 -).
Education: Academy of Art and Design, St. Joost, Breda, Painting and Monumental Design.
For me, painting is not about creating images, figurative or abstract, or visualizing ideas. I believe I have found a way to reinvent painting by starting from the material itself: the paint. Within it, if one looks closely, figures and images emerge spontaneously. I leave them as they are or wipe them away. Imagination and concentration do the rest. I am not interested in which style my work falls. I merely ask for an attentive eye. –
Exhibitions at home and abroad.
Collections: Many corporate and private collections worldwide.
