Zeer mooie zeefdruk van A.J. Grootens, gesigneerd in de ets alsmede links onder hand gesigneerd.
De afmetingen zijn 420 mm x 380 mm inclusief passe-partout van 45 mm.
Keurig ingelijst achter glas, achterkant nog uit vorige eeuw.
Grootens bezocht op 8-jarige leeftijd de Tekenschool in Bergen op Zoom, waar hij les kreeg van Jan ten Have (1852–1903). Later volgde hij lessen in Dordrecht bij Jan Karsseboom (1806-1884) en Frans Lebret (1820–1909). Na zijn Dordtse periode woonde en werkte Grootens respectievelijk in Amsterdam, Oegstgeest en vanaf 1940 in Bloemendaal.
