Alphons Freijmuth (Haarlem, August 28, 1940) is a Dutch painter, sculptor, graphic artist and ceramicist. Alphons Freijmuth (also Freymuth) studied at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam from 1963 to 1964. In 1965 he had his first solo exhibition in the Amsterdam Galerie 845. From 1974 he was a lecturer at the Academy of Art and Industry (AKI) in Enschede.
Freijmuth primarily works as a painter, but since the early 1980s he also began creating sculptures. Freijmuth spent a lot of time with Reinier Lucassen. The two painters, both admirers of René Magritte's work, influenced each other and sometimes created paintings with the same subject or variations on or of each other's work.
