A stunning, dynamic lithograph in four striking colors by the Dutch artist Chris Roodvoets.
This hand-signed graphic work is titled "Spring" and dates from the iconic art year of 1968. The work depicts the awakening of nature in a playful, almost primitive manner: flying birds, rippling waterlines, and a radiant sun. The flowing, thick lines and vibrant use of color (blue, yellow, soft blue, and warm red/orange) clearly demonstrate Roodvoets' affinity with the expressive freedom of the CoBrA movement (think of greats like Karel Appel and Corneille). A fantastic, energetic artwork that brings character and color to any modern or vintage interior!
The condition is fair, mainly showing some signs of age at the edges and margins. A mat board would largely resolve this. Bidding starts at 20 euros!
