Egberdina Hester Junod-Jaarsma, is geboren in 1879 in Sneek- friesland. Ze was de zus van Johanna Jaarsma en halfzus van Heije Jaarsma, eveneens gerespecteerde kunstschilders. Ze huwde op 4 september 1926 te Wassenaar met Albert Ernst Ferdinand Junod.
