In Dutch applied art, the monogram HAD is convincingly attributed to HA (Hendrik / Hendricus) Dorenbos, a coppersmith and goldsmith active in the interwar period (c. 1915–1935). His work is closely related to the Amsterdam School:
• hand-hammered copper
• sober, powerful shapes
• low, wide bowls
• clear attention to skin and hammer blow
The blocky, architectural monogram you show is typical of craft signatures of the period and is more often found in this type of work than in later decorative copper production.
Important: this is not industrial copper or tourist work, but studio-made artificial copper.
• the low shape (16.5 cm Ø, 2.7 cm high)
• the even, fine hammer blow
• the subdued patina
