When purchasing, the work can be picked up in 's-Gravenzande (near The Hague (Scheveningen), Rotterdam and Delft and 5 minutes from the beach). The deadline for the pick up, with advance payment, is very spacious, in other words the buyer can do the work for weeks or even pick it up months later and if possible combine it with a visit to one of the above mentioned towns or the beach. We can also ship the work. Our shipping days are Tuesday and Thursday.
Jan Riske (Dordrecht, 1932) is a Dutch painter. Jan Hendrik Riske went to a private Montessori school and was encouraged to draw by his father. Riske was noticed by Laurens J. Bol, director of the Dordrechts Museum. With the financial support of the Ary Scheffer Fund obtained through Bol's influence, Riske was able to study at the Art Academy in Rotterdam. After graduating from art school, he emigrated to Australia in 1952. He has had exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in Melbourne, the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh (USA) and galleries in Amsterdam, New York, Sydney and Melbourne, among others.
