Jan Strube (Amsterdam, 1892 – Lies, 1985) was a Dutch painter and printmaker who lived in North Brabant for most of his life. After vocational school, Strube attended the Quellinus School, which was the precursor to the Rietveld Academy. He became known for his lithographs depicting Brabant rural life. The Great Church of Breda, the harbor, and the Beguinage were also recurring subjects. Strube also created still lifes, preferably in oil paint. Sometimes he executed still lifes as drawings and even as lithographs.
