Be overwhelmed by the expressive power of this original painting on canvas by Jeanne Wesselius. With powerful brushstrokes and a lively palette, she brings to life a peacock that seems to step majestically out of the canvas. The background, an abstract play of colours of warm and cool tones, makes the bird's plumage speak even more intensely.
This 90 x 80 cm work is an ode to colour, movement and symbolism – the peacock as a symbol of pride, beauty and renewed energy. Ideal for those looking for an eye-catcher with character, suitable for both modern interiors and eclectic art collections.
Originally purchased for 2250 guilders. (See sticker on the back)
Technique: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 90 x 80 cm
Framed in an aluminum frame directly around the canvas.
Origin: Derksen Auction House
Signature: LO
A powerful and inspiring work that transforms any space with its dynamism and intensity.
Work can be shipped at buyer's risk and expense. This will be more expensive because I will have to buy a custom box for safe transport.
PS the last photo is only meant as an impression to give you a bit of an idea of how the work could hang in your home. It is not a true image of the painting in this impression. This image is generated by AI.
