Mooi, groot werk van Jo Schrijnder, één van zijn gezochte natuurtaferelen. Olieverf op doek, gesigneerd rechtsonder, in nette klassieke lijst (met naambordje). Alles in zeer goede conditie.
Afmetingen: 120cm x 80cm (incl. lijst), 100cm x 60cm (doek)
Bij aankoop moet het werk bij voorkeur worden opgehaald in Diemen (vlakbij het kantoor van Kunstveiling in Amsterdam Z-O). De termijn voor ophalen is zeer ruim, m.a.w. de koper kan het werk eventueel weken of zelfs maanden later ophalen en het zo mogelijk combineren met een bezoek aan Amsterdam voor andere zaken.
Verzending per Swift Koeriers is eventueel mogelijk in overleg (alleen in Nederland en België).

Josephus Alphonus 'Jo' Schrijnder (Druten 1894 – Amstelveen 1968)
Veelzijdig
beeldend kunstenaar en burgemeester: zo is de carrière van Jo Schrijnder kort
samen te vatten. Van 1924 tot 1946 was hij burgemeester van het West-Friese
Grootebroek. Als kunstenaar ontwierp hij het gemeentehuis aldaar; er zijn
symbolische wandversieringen, ornamenten, glas-in-loodramen en meubilair van
zijn hand te zien. Schrijnder was schilder, beeldhouwer, glazenier en
monumentaal kunstenaar. Ook verzorgde hij illustraties voor boeken en
tijdschriften, en ontwierp hij boekbanden. Als schilder had Jo Schrijnder een
voorkeur voor jachttaferelen; daarnaast schilderde hij portretten, stillevens
en landschappen in impressionistische stijl.
