Een ets uit 1916 van de Nederlandse kunstenaar Johannes Josseaud (1880-1935).
Handgesigneerd en –getiteld met potlood. Ook gesigneerd en gedateerd in de ets.
Niet ingelijst, de ets zit wel achter een passe-partout.
Afmetingen: Passe-partout, 25 x 28 cm. Blad, 22 x 25 cm. Beeld, 13 x 17 cm.
Conditie: Het papier van de ets heeft zuurvlekjes en is ‘vergeeld’. Het passe-partout is vlekkerig.

INFO OVER DE KUNSTENAAR:
Johannes Josseaud, geboren in Amsterdam op 21 april 1880 en overleden in Haarlem 10 november 1935, aquarellist, schilder, tekenaar, etser en lithograaf.
Hij woonde en werkte in Amsterdam tot 1902, Bussum tot 1903, Amsterdam tot 1911, Schoten (Haarlem) tot 1919, Zandvoort tot 1926 en tot zijn dood in 1935 in Haarlem. In Amsterdam kreeg hij les van de kunstschilder/illustrator Willem Wenckebach.
Johan Josseaud schilderde, tekende, aquarelleerde, etste en lithografeerde stadsgezichten (vooral Amsterdam en Haarlem), landschappen, interieurs , stillevens en zeegezichten. Werk van zijn hand is opgenomen in de collectie van het Frans Halsmuseum te Haarlem.
