This expressive etching by Jonathan Meese from 2006 is characterized by a dynamic composition of powerful black lines, sketchy forms, symbols, and handwritten words.
In the bottom right, the work is hand-signed in pencil by Jonathan Meese.
The color etching is printed on high-quality handmade Bütten paper.
The various visual elements overlap and seem to move criss-cross across the paper, creating a lively and irregular whole. Scattered throughout the composition are faces, geometric symbols, and words such as MÄDCHEN GÖTTER and VAMPIR MÖNCH , among others.
The combination of text, figurative elements, and energetic linework gives the work a distinct graphic character. The contrast between the fine, almost sketchy lines and the dark, heavily applied strokes enhances the dynamism of the representation.
The work is professionally and high-quality framed in an exclusive, handmade Plexiglas showcase ( Swiss handmade Plexiglas showcase ). The transparent presentation emphasizes the minimalist character of the composition and allows for an elegant viewing of the special surface and brushwork.
Dimensions of plexiglass display case: approx. 77 × 67 cm.
