Judith was born in Leerdam and received her art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in 's-Hertogenbosch and the Artibus Academy in Utrecht.
At the beginning of her career, she focused primarily on watercolors, with which she exhibited regularly from 1972 onwards. From 1977 to 1990, she was a member of the Sint Lucas Vereniging in Amsterdam. From 2012, she was affiliated with the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and from 2012 to 2018 with Global Art vzw in Tongeren.
Around 1990, she switched to oil painting on panel, as the watercolor technique offered her insufficient possibilities in terms of color. After several years of experimentation, she specialized in realistic still lifes.
