Luuk Huiskes (1950) is a photographer from Utrecht, known for experimental landscapes in which the boundary between reality and fiction blurs. He is strongly influenced by magical realism. From 1980, Huiskes was a co-founder of Galerie Perspektief in Rotterdam, which later became the Fotomuseum Rotterdam. Huiskes led the Stichting Stedelijke Fotografie in Utrecht for 30 years. He has exhibited throughout Europe. His work is included in the collections of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, among others.
