Offered for sale: a beautiful etching from the 1960s by the renowned etcher PAULA SLUITER (1903-1993).

It depicts a PHEASANT and another bird in the sky in the upper right. The etching is signed at the bottom, and in the lower left corner it states that it is etching number 9 of 25. The artwork is framed and behind glass.

Paula Sluiter lived from 1903 to 1993, but her artistic career began relatively late. She first worked as a nurse and teacher and started making art later. She took lessons in figure drawing at the Vrije Academie in The Hague and learned etching there. Her work is often associated with Art Brut and is characterized by fantasy figures, birds, animals, and fairytale-like depictions.
