A very beautiful, abstract etching by the sculptor Pearl Perlmuter from 1965. The work is signed, titled and numbered EA.
Framed with passe-partout in white wash wooden frame.

Shipping is also possible without frame.

Similar works are also in the collection of the Stedelijk Museum.

In the early eighties Perlmuter stopped teaching and started focusing on her own work again. In 1988 she had her first major retrospective exhibition in the Gemeentemuseum in Arnhem, where besides sculptures also watercolors, drawings and etchings were shown. In 2003 a solo exhibition followed in the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo.

Pearl Perlmuter remained active into old age and fulfilled her role as 'grand old lady' of Dutch sculpture with verve.

With her work and through her teaching, Perlmuter made an important contribution to the stylistic and formal renewal in post-war Dutch sculpture. She advocated the position of women in the visual arts – she felt they deserved more attention.

Perlmuter's work can be found in the collections of: Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Gemeentemuseum Arnhem; Art Collection Amsterdam Airport Schiphol; Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Hague and the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands.
