Peter Louman, visual artist, graphic designer and poet was a flamboyant appearance, quirky and perfectionist. In 1984 he and Wille Boudewijn moved into a former warehouse on the Veenpolderdijk, in Assendelft. They gave it the name 'Freedom on the Dike'. He made his famous woodcuts and serigraphs there: vital and colourful.
