Every Monday evening a Special auction ends focusing on a particular artist or theme. Would you like to participate as a seller? That is possible! You will find more information here.
Philip Mckay is a prolific English artist, born in Liverpool in 1963. He specializes in photography but also makes digital art. His work is influenced by events from his past and the likes of Dali and Magritte. In his pensive and dreamlike art, despair and loneliness become the natural elements of a uniquely atmospheric universe. He describes his work as a mixture of surrealism and "scenes from idiotic places". 'Staring at the sky' was inspired by the work of renowned English sculptor Anthony Gormley's life sized iron man sculptures. McKay describes this image as "the story of a lonely man trying to navigate his way through his troubled life."
