An atmospheric and impressive original oil painting on canvas by the Dutch painter van Dokkum; likely Piet. This work depicts a characteristic, dynamic harbor view of Rotterdam at evening/night. The painting excels in the beautiful light-dark contrast, the detailed rendering of the cargo ships, tugboats, and cranes, and the typical Dutch cloudy sky for which the painter is known. Condition: The painting is in neat, original condition and comes with a matching frame. The canvas presumably has a light, authentic patina (smoke layer) appropriate for its age, which lends extra character to the atmospheric evening setting. • Reverse side: Features an old art dealer/inventory number (2253TL8). Price: Asking price: € 700 (or a serious offer commensurate with value). Delivery: pick up in Eindhoven.
